 A new study reveals a straightforward yet powerful insight: nearly 50 percent of all cancer-related deaths are linked to controllable factors. Specifically, about 40 percent of all cancer cases in the United States are associated with three behaviors: excess weight, smoking, and alcohol consumption.

Other significant risk factors include insufficient exercise, excessive exposure to UV rays, and a low-fiber diet. While it's true that cancer isn't entirely preventable, these findings highlight that there are many daily actions you can take to reduce your risk.
